About
I am currently living and working in New Hampshire. I love it here most of the time. It can get a little cold and overrun with snow, but come summer it is a great place to be. I work full time for a small company in southern New Hampshire that builds software and websites for independent schools. There I am part of the integration team, working in ASP.net to connect our software to others’ like Google apps for education. I also get to spend some of my day working with WordPress since we host several MultiSite networks.
Besides hosting WordPress sites at work, I have built several themes to be used in the WordPress networks hosted there. Some of them are fully customized and some are child themes of Genesis or TwentyTen.
Before getting into computers I spent a few years at Johnson & Wales University where, among other things, I learned to cook. I also learned that the food service industry was not my cup of tea. So after getting my Associates degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, I transferred to Keene State College where I got a degree in Applied Computer Science. Making that change is one of the best things I could have done. I love working with computers and the Internet.
For fun I enjoy playing golf around New England. When I can get out to play I usually try to play a different place every time. I have also gotten into kayaking and really enjoy paddling around the lakes and rivers of New Hampshire. Although I wouldn’t call this a hobby, I seem to have started collecting a lot of Apple products over the years (obsession, maybe?). I also spend time with my two house rabbits, Daisy and Nora. Yes, that’s right – I have two bunnies and they are just awesome.
Affiliate links
From time to time, a few links on my site are affiliate links. I do not post affiliate links to any product or service I do not recommend 100% and use personally. For example, I have posted affiliate links for Beanstalk and Genesis, but I actively use both. If you have any questions regarding this, don’t hesitate to contact me.
